MERRY CHRISTMAS!

2007 has been a wonderful year for Blue Castle Photography... full of breathtaking weddings and fun portrait sessions! We've had a blast shooting over 25,000 photos - by my calculations, that's an average of more than 60 a day. Wow.

We wish you all a great holiday season with friends and family, and are looking forward to all the excitement that a full 2008 will bring.

UPS surprised us on Christmas Eve with the albums for Lea and Dan, whose wedding was earlier this month, and we are thrilled with the results! We saved one for ourselves as a studio sample, and are looking forward to meeting with our upcoming clients in the new year.

WINTER ENGAGEMENT SESSION

We spent an afternoon this weekend with Kellie and Mark, whose wedding we are looking forward to shooting in March, in a fun engagement session! We met up with them at the Salbasgeon Suites, and went from there to explore other Corvallis locations.

We came away with so many great shots, it's hard to narrow down our favorites for a blog post... we'll put together a featured engagement gallery soon! In the meantime, here are some of the pics we liked the best.

CHRISTMAS PHOTOS

In the midst of a busy December schedule, we spent a few minutes this last weekend with our local extended family shooting Christmas pictures of them! We're looking forward to spending the holidays together and had a great time shooting their photos.

WEDDING BY CANDLELIGHT


December is the perfect time for an intimate evening wedding, and Lea and Dan tied the knot in a beautiful and touching ceremony this weekend. With 20 or so of their closest friends and family in attendance, their wedding was a time of sharing encouragement and blessings with the people who meant the most to them.

The wedding was held at their house in Corvallis, beautifully decorated and lit by candlelight. (I brought along just enough artificial light to get by without disturbing the ambiance!)

Their officiant was a close friend, who shared touching anecdotes about the couple.


There were so many beautiful details of the day!


Lea made a beautiful bride, here preparing to walk down the aisle with her parents.



Their ceremony included a time of "ring warming", in which each of their friends and family held their wedding rings, joined by a ribbon.




The toasts were led by their parents, and were great fun!
