CLASS OF 2009 - NOW BOOKING SENIOR PHOTOS

Many seniors are getting a head start on taking care of their senior photos before waiting until the last minute. Our photo sessions this year for upcoming seniors have already started, and we're excited to stay active and line up more creative sessions!

Our senior photo shoots are customized to fit the style of each student and reflect their hobbies and interests. We'll get some photos suitable for the classic 'yearbook' presentation, but also throw in lots of other shots that draw out their personality!

Most importantly, you'll receive full digital high-resolution images of all the photos, without complicated restrictions on the number of poses or types of packages you can order. Contact us for more information!

Here are some of our favorite shots from 2008 seniors...

We look forward to hearing from you...

WHAT IS A BRIDAL SHOOT?

As you're planning your upcoming wedding and thinking about photography, one idea to keep in mind is a bridal shoot. Oftentimes these are overlooked or discarded with the common misconception that they're simply short photo sessions in a studio to get a few pictures of the bride in her wedding attire prior to the day of the wedding.

Contemporary bridals are so much more! We nearly always shoot them outdoors on a beautiful day, in unique locations that show off the true beauty of a bride. The wedding day is always moving quickly on a tight schedule, so planning another time for additional artistic, creative shots gives you the chance to feel more relaxed and adventurous.

Great bridal photography will complement your wedding photos in preserving the memories of your wedding for all time. Here are some examples of what you can expect to see from a bridal shoot:

Some of the questions we're often asked about bridal photography are:

"Does a bridal shoot take place before or after the wedding?" We recommend doing a bridal shoot after the wedding, because you'll be less worried about getting the dress dirty. Although the idea of "trashing the dress" has gained notoriety lately, even the most adventurous bridal shoots leave your dress in good condition, and a dry cleaning afterwards will make it "good as new".

"Can the groom come along?" Absolutely! It's even more fun to shoot the two of you together, and if his wedding tuxedo or other formal attire is available, you'll look fabulous and come away with very special and memorable photos.

"How long does it last?" We recommend planning for about two hours of photography, to give yourself plenty of time to feel relaxed and capture photos a variety of styles and locations. (The time will fly by - bridal shoots are fast-paced and lots of fun!) You'll generally end up with a selection of 50-75 pictures, all of which we will have carefully selected and performed adjustments for color and retouching on.

Bridals are also a great time to use special props!

We would love to hear your ideas and plan a bridal photo session with you. Contact us to learn more about our bridal photo sessions!

WEDDING VENDOR SPOTLIGHT

We always encourage our brides to select their wedding flowers and arrangements carefully, as they will play a huge role in the appearance of their wedding, both during the ceremony and reception as well as in the photographs!

One of our favorite florists is Heather of Thistle Dew Floral in Corvallis, and we would recommend her in a heartbeat to anybody planning an upcoming wedding. We had the great privilege of working with her on two of our 2007 weddings, and her artistry with the floral arrangements was fantastic!

She made it easy for us to get good photos, with Josh and Kristen at BeckenRidge Vineyard here...

... and at Zane & Chris's wedding at Thyme Gardens, another of our favorite wedding venues:

Heather has a wonderful personality to work with, and a stellar reputation for her work. If you haven't decided on your wedding florist yet, look no further! As photographers we have been thrilled with her work.
