Melanie & Wesley had an amazing wedding day this last weekend, enjoying perfect weather and the beautiful venue The Garden In The Woods right here in Corvallis.
We had time to get some portraits of Wes while Melanie was finishing getting ready...

I love the simplicity and lighting on this pair of detail photos!

Here she is... the beautiful bride.

They chose to have a "first look" moment together before the ceremony:

The ceremony area at Garden In The Woods features a recently-built Chinese Tea House that makes for a unique setting.

Ready to get started!

After the ceremony, we had a few minutes for photos with Melanie and Wes. Celebration Florals did an amazing job with the flowers and bouquet, and I love the way the lighting highlights them here:

One of my favorite images, only I can't decide if I prefer it in color or black and white. Leave a comment and say which one you like best!

Then it was back to the reception for dinner and toasts.

Lots of kids were in attendance, which always makes for fun photos...

Time for the first dance!

Melanie dancing with her dad was very special...

Mandy Jansen of Mandy's Custom Cakes did an amazing job with their wedding cake:

All in all, it was a FUN wedding with lots of wonderful moments. Many thanks to Melanie and Wes for sharing their wedding day with us!

I like the black and white one best...
The Garden in the Woods is awesome! My sister-in-law had her reception there! It was too small for the actual wedding which was super formal!
I also love the black and white.
This is so cool because Steve and I have talked about maybe getting married at this same place! (Though I'm not totally sure it would be big enough...)
GREAT photos!
What a beautiful venue and a gorgeous set of photos! I think I prefer the black and white as well.

Hmmmm, that's tough. I like the light and colors in the color pic but the b/w is so charming. Can I like both?
I vote for the color print. It is just so bright and fresh! Love the color!
Oh, this photos are very nice. Great work, Jonathan and Carrie!
Great work! Regards
