Photos from the Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire

We were able to join in the festivities this weekend at the Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire in Kings Valley, Oregon. The weather was beautiful and it made for a fun family outing!

The feature of the afternoon was a medieval show with knights jousting and fighting, which was completely engrossing for our two-year-old and pretty entertaining for us, too. Of course, we brought along a camera, and although sporting events are not our standard fare, some of the photos turned out pretty well!

Pretty similar to our typical wedding cake-cutting scene:

Anyway, it was a great show, and we were astounded at the quantity and variety of the other performers and vendors at the "faire". If you've never been, check it out when 2010 rolls around!

These pictures are awesome. We were scheduled to go to the Renaissance Festival today but I was feeling ill so we missed it. We are studing the Renaissance this year in homeschool. These pictures give us a glimpse of that time period. We'll try not to miss it next year.

Do you have any more photos from the faire that you could share? Any of water fight?
