Family Photos

Whew! We just got back from an evening wedding out at a great wedding site, Green Villa Barn in Independence, OR. We'll have some images to share of that event soon! In the meantime, we're working on taking more pictures of our own relations, now that the rush of wedding season has settled down. This past week we went out with Jonathan's family and took some photos. Our son (just about to turn 2) loved tagging along on this shoot with all his aunts and uncles. They are the best! At least, we think so!

Enjoy some shots from our session with our own family! And check out our adorably cute son who, we do believe, is making his first official blog appearance. Don't get too used to it. But isn't he so cute?! ;)

Micaela's Senior Photos

This past week we met up with Micaela in Corvallis's Central Park. We love the variety of environments that can be found around the area! It makes for great senior photos and portraits.

The weather took a drastic turn and we were all freezing cold by the end of the evening, but you can't tell it from these pictures! Micaela has a great, natural smile and she proved she could hold it for a long time. (Or maybe it just froze into place?!) We were lucky to have some awesome lighting as the sun was setting, though, and love how that came out in the photos!

At any rate, we had a great time taking pictures with her and ended up having such a hard time picking our favorites, we thought we'd share a few more than usual. Enjoy!

Blessings on your senior year, Micaela! Thanks for choosing us to take your senior photos.

Engagement Pictures in Albany, Oregon

This past week we met up with David and Crista to shoot their engagement session. We'd had to reschedule this shoot a few times but were pleased with the weather, the lighting and the company when it finally all came together! We're happy to be shooting their wedding in November so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, here are some fun images for you to enjoy!

David & Crista - thanks for trusting us with the job and sharing this moment of your life with us. Blessings on you two as you continue on life's journey together.

Aislyn's Senior Photos

Last week we met up with Aislyn to take her senior portraits. Aislyn wanted to meet up in Central Park so we hopped on over and spent some time with her. She has an artistic bent and style about her. Such a sweet personality to boot! Aislyn, thanks for asking us to shoot your senior photos. We wish you the best!

A brief interlude...

Even though our summer schedule has been busy with weddings, seniors, and setting up a new studio, we've found a little time here and there to enjoy the beautiful Oregon outdoors! Traveling to weddings also gives us lots of opportunity to check out unique sites.

Going through some photos we picked up in our various travels this summer, a few caught my eye that I thought I would share! These two are from a trip to Hood River:

... and from the Oregon Coast Aquarium... (posing these little fellas was pretty tough, lemme tell ya! :-)

Anyway, we'll now return to our regularly scheduled programming. Enjoy the next few weeks of good weather as our summer comes to an end... we certainly will be!

Photos of the D. Family

We've mentioned before how much we love photographing children. It's hard work but it sure is satisfying. We were recently given the opportunity to photograph the D. family and, as you can see, they had a few family members to take pictures of. We picked some of our favorites to share with you.

Their daring and adventurous son. . .

Their four beautiful daughters . . .

Tell me, have you ever seen such a pretty baby smile? (Excepting our own son's, of course?! :-)

I love this little girl. Is she not the cutest?!

Get a load of her shoes! I'm charmed.

And a fun portrait of the entire family... we love how this came out!

Dear D's, thank you so much for asking us to be a part of your lives in this way. It really is an amazing compliment to be asked. We appreciate your friendship and trust and look forward to sharing more of life with you as time goes by!

Blessings.

Jonathan+Shannon Engagement

This is a couple we're really excited to be photographing. Meet Jonathan and Shannon from Northern California. On a recent trip up to Oregon we went out and shot their engagement photos. We're looking forward to this coming spring when we'll be mixing business with pleasure and traveling down to the Sacramento area to shoot their wedding.

This couple is FUN! We're so delighted that we have the opportunity to be a part of their new life together in this way. Check out some of the images we got while wandering around downtown Corvallis.

J&S - blessings on you guys as you take the next step in your journey together. Thanks for your friendship and enthusiasm. We look forward to seeing you both in March!

We love our engaged couples and the beautiful jewelry and style they bring to photo sessions, like Asscher Cut Engagement Rings, Emerald Cut Engagement Rings, Tension Set Engagement Rings, or even the eye-catching Pear Shaped Engagement Rings.
