Oregon Wedding Venue: Paradise Springs

We recently were invited to photograph the newly-opened wedding location, Paradise Springs! It is, in two words: Simply Gorgeous.

Located in the Monroe area, just a short drive from Corvallis or Eugene, we believe that Paradise Springs brings a whole new opportunity for brides to experience the beauty of a stunning wedding location without having to travel to Salem or Portland.

Their outdoor ceremony area can easily seat several hundred people in the open grass, with a huge pavilion as well.

The bride emerges for the ceremony from this amazing entrance after a long covered walkway:

Their spacious indoor area, with a huge kitchen and bar, has high ceilings and is lit by beautiful chandeliers and picture windows on all sides.

Every detail in the surrounding acres of gardens and forests is in perfect shape... we can't wait for our first scheduled wedding here (in early 2009) to use the variety of environments in wedding photos!

And, finally, the "bride's quarters" -- a beautiful residence that is spacious enough to house relatives before the wedding, or make a relaxing, convenient start to the honeymoon!

We were thrilled to get a "sneak preview" of this beautiful location, and encourage any brides in the area to check out Paradise Springs. We'll point you to their web site when it comes online, but in the meantime you can contact the proprietor, Amy Nystrom, at 541-847-5700. Don't forget to mention that you heard about them on our blog!

Corvallis Senior Portraits: Anthony

We love it when our seniors go the extra mile for special, unique portraits! Anthony chose to rent a vintage suit, which totally rocked the house.

The shoot started out with some casual photos...

... and then the fun began...

Hmmm... a passerby commented that he looks like the dude out of Napoleon Dynamite. What do you think?

Corvallis Family Photo Session

Well, we're a little behind in some of our posts! This particular photo session was completed a month ago. The E family were over from England, visiting their daughter who attends Oregon State. We were delighted to meet them and walk around the riverfront to take some pictures of their family. Here are some of the results.

Corvallis Senior Photos at Peavy Arboretum

Kristen drove down from the Portland area to have her senior photos taken at Peavy Arboretum here in Corvallis. We were delighted to meet her and spend the evening with her, her mother and her sister. We discovered that we had a lot in common with them and it was nice to chat a bit while we walked around.

Here are some of the shots that we got.

Blessings, Kristen, as you complete your senior year! We wish you all the best!

A Beautiful Wedding at the Green Villa Barn

You may remember Melissa & Brian from their engagement photos back in May. They were married last Saturday at Green Villa Barn, an awesome Oregon wedding location located in Independence. This was our first time out there and we thought it was beautifully unique.

Speaking of beautifully unique, Melissa was a fantastic bride. Her dress was absolutely amazing.

Brian was a very happy and loving groom.

Here he is with his groomsmen before the ceremony. Melissa & Brian chose not to see each other until the ceremony, so we spent the time beforehand taking shots of them individually and with their attendants.

I love how this came out... beautiful afternoon light coming through the windows!

Here's Brian (with the officiant) watching his bride walk down the aisle.

We loved the twinkle lights hung all around the room! They gave the place a magical feel.

It's official!

After the ceremony we stepped outside to take a few photos of the bride and groom together before they joined their guests for their reception.

Here are some shots from the first dance.

Their DJ got everybody involved in doing The Hokey Pokey which was an awesome idea and lots of fun. This one little girl was particularly cute!

Someone gave them this extremely cool sign for a wedding gift and, of course, we had to use it in a photo. Isn't it awesome!?

Blessings on you two as you begin your married life together!

We love our engaged couples and the beautiful jewelry and style they bring to photo sessions, like Asscher Cut Engagement Rings, Emerald Cut Engagement Rings, Tension Set Engagement Rings, or even the eye-catching Pear Shaped Engagement Rings.
