Public Service Announcement...

We've been made aware of a rumor that surfaced recently about our business preparing to close this year. We wish to clarify that this is absolutely NOT the case! We are unsure as to where this rumor originated, but speculate that we might have been confused with another photography studio.

At any rate, this rumor has absolutely no factual basis; nothing could be further from the truth. We're looking forward to a busy 2009 schedule of weddings and portrait sessions, and are booking events into 2010.

If you have any questions regarding this, you're welcome to contact us directly and we will do our best to clear up any misunderstanding!

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Engagement Pictures in Corvallis

Kylie and Adam are excited for their wedding coming up in a few months! And it's easy to tell... they make a great couple, and we had a lot of fun with their engagement portraits last weekend. We love shooting around the Corvallis area, taking advantage of the great variety of environments for outdoor photos!

Here are some of our favorites from our time with them:

Devil's Punchbowl at the Oregon Coast

The Oregon Coast -- beautiful sunny skies one minute, and pouring rain the next! I was fortunate to come away with these landscapes, and love the way they capture the feeling of being there...

Engagement Photos at OSU

Hannah and Bryant are getting married next month! We were able to meet up last weekend for some fun portraits, dodging the raindrops.

They actually met through their mutual interest in playing the piano, so we had fun getting this shot!

Here is another of their favorite pastimes...

Then outside for a few more portraits!

Thanks, guys, for a fun afternoon. Looking forward to your wedding!

... and baby makes three!

Is this little dude cute or what?!

We had a great time with baby Jack (and his parents) on a photo shoot last weekend! You never know how things will turn out when a 3-month-old is the highlight of the shoot, but he worked the camera like a master. Here he is with mom and dad:

That's a smile we won't forget for a while. Thanks, guys!

Destination Wedding: Sacramento, CA

Our blogging habits lately have been terrible! I can't believe time slipped away from us this much... it's been over a month since our last post! We'll try to make up for it with lots of photos this time around, and pick up the pace a bit on catching up on our sessions lately.

It's been a dark and cloudy winter around here, so we were thrilled to get away last weekend to Sacramento! You may remember Jonathan and Shannon from their engagement photos last year, and we've been looking forward to their wedding for a long time! The weather turned out to be perfect, and their love for each other and joy over the day made it a complete delight.

Shannon's beautiful dress:

They chose to see each other before the ceremony, at an awesome location just a few miles from the wedding site. This is a great idea for church weddings, as it doesn't add much time to the day's schedule, but gives you great variety in the photos!

Their "first look":

A few more minutes for photos before we moved on:

Our next stop on the way back to the church was an orchard of almond trees. It was such a treat for us to capture images in the unique environments of Sacramento.

This is one of our favorite bridal portraits ever!

Ceremony time!

Great light for portraits indoors...

... and out!

An awesome toast by Shannon's brother. There wasn't a dry eye in the room...

Jonathan and Shannon, we loved being a part of your wedding! Congratulations again, and blessings on your new life together.

We love our engaged couples and the beautiful jewelry and style they bring to photo sessions, like Asscher Cut Engagement Rings, Emerald Cut Engagement Rings, Tension Set Engagement Rings, or even the eye-catching Pear Shaped Engagement Rings.
